Buy Property In Singapore

House hunting especially in Singapore can be quite a daunting task. You would first need to set aside a deposit ad contact the right real estate agent. Considering that you have already done this plan of action, you would now like to go and look at the houses that interest you and come within your budget.

Apart from price there are several factors that should help you to choose the house that you want. Take along a notepad whenever you visit a home and ask these critical questions. These questions will help you clinch the deal and may even get you a better discount. Now shall we start with the critical important things that you should look at?

Does the house have future investment potential?

Depending on the location of the house, the price would matter. Will it require high maintenance costs? If improvements are made in the house, will it improve its chances of future investments? Is the area well connected and what amenities does the location have. Is it in a neglected area or a place that has great potential?

Will the lifestyle of the family be affected?

Are the needs of the family been served? Are the bus stations nearby? Is it easily accessible to all means of public transport? Are there enough amenities for children to play and enjoy. What is the commuting distance from office and children’s school? What about the entertainment facilities like malls and cinema halls?

Is the neighborhood suitable for the family?

Look around the neighborhood and see whether it suits your requirements or not. Does the neighborhood have woods and parks for children to play in? Does the neighborhood welcome pets or are house owners are averse to pets here?

Is the house on the hill? Does the area get waterlogged during the rains or stays dry? These are some the questions that should be asked.

What is the accessibility with other parts of Singapore?

Is the place well connected? How far are the metro stations located? Are taxis easily available? How long does it take to travel to the shopping malls and offices? Is there enough parking place available? What’s the shortest distance to the recreation centers, Sentosa Island, hospitals and post offices? Do you need to walk long distances to get to the places or they are just a short walk away? How far is the airport from your home if you travel frequently?

Does the house have some unique features?

Does the house have some unique features like the furniture or the view? What are the lighting and the electrical features of the house? Does it have ample open space? Is the look of the house great. Does it have great expansive baloneys that show the bay area of Singapore?

What will the costs be if redecoration or renovation is done?

Is there some work that needs to be done that will match your tastes and lifestyle before you move in the house? What is the additional cost associated for carrying on the work. How long will the renovations take, before the place can finally be made livable? Do you have a budget for making these renovations possible?

Ask these questions before finally deciding to buy the house.
