What is HDB? HDB or also known as the Housing Development Board in Singapore has been entrusted by the government to look after the housing needs of Singaporeans. The Housing Development Board or the HDB builds flats and homes for those residences of Singapore from the Lower income group right up to the Upper-middle class group. The HDB has an Ethnic Integration Policy that fixes the amount of ethnic ratio that is allowed in one block. This is to ensure harmony among the races. The CPF Housing Grant is a Grant that enables married couples who have never before purchased a HDB flat, to purchase such a property in the open market. All this can be found in the various websites available for HDB information.
