Commercial Real Estate Singapore

Singapore has become one of the best places expats in Singapore find to relocate to, especially because of the fact that law and order is fully observed in the country. The partners also find it an excellent place to relocate to with their school going children because of the excellent education system in Singapore. The country is also not very large in size, and this feature works well for a person who loves traveling.

The warm tropical climate therein is also excellent, especially due to the availability of recreational sunny sandy beaches along the vast coastal regions of Singapore. However, the beautiful and close to perfect destination has one major problem both to exparts in Singapore and local citizens - finding good and available housing. This has made Commercial Real Estate in Singapore a booming business.

Those who look for houses in the Singapore Commercial Real Estate have three basic considerations to make, and these include the house’s location, how much money it will cost them to buy or rent and, finally, the proximity it has to transport, health, schooling and recreational facilities. The closer a house is to these facilities and to the CBD, the more expensive it is to buy and rent, but most of the people are willing to meet the extra cost just to be near these facilities.

Apart from proximity to facilities being a determining factor in Singapore’s Commercial Real Estate, the size of the house and the type of the house are also major determining factors. A bungalow can range from as low as seven thousand dollars all the way to sixty or seventy thousand dollars a month. The cost varies according to the number of rooms the bungalow has and according to other luxury facilities it may have. Some bungalows have a Jacuzzi, swimming pool, barbeque pit, huge patios, study rooms, ensuite bedrooms, ponds, etc. the more luxurious a bungalow, the higher its monthly rent.

Another type of housing in the Commercial Real Estate in Singapore loved by many is the condominium. These are loved due o the privacy and luxury the come with. Such houses come with extra goodies like gatekeeper services and basketball pitches. These private condos are mostly sold on a freehold tenure basis, but can also have a 99 year lease period. Also, there is an option of renting an executive condo, which is more affordable than the above mentioned luxurious ones. They are a bit smaller than the conventional condos, and they are mainly preferred by small families. Further still, semi-detached houses are the preference of those who cannot afford bungalows or condos but still want some form of privacy and luxury.

However, if your income is not as high you can go for Housing and Development Board flats. The HDB is Singapore’s Commercial Real Estate manager, and they offer houses which are also of very good quality yet affordable to even the low class people in the society. These flats can have a rent of as low as 900 US dollars per month! One thing a Housing and Development Board flat dweller is totally sure of is the proximity to transport services, as this is one sure feature of the HDB flats.
