Singapore Rental
Many expatriates who move to Singapore prefer to rent an apartment or condo in Singapore. When you are thinking of renting a property you should first note down what facilities and amenities you need. For example, you may want to rent a property that is near to a MRT station or bus stop so that it would be convenient for you to travel from one location to another. Do you want other facilities like gym or swimming pool? If you prefer these facilities then you should let your real estate agent know about them so that he would find you those properties that offer such facilities.
First you need to hire a real estate agent who would help you with renting a real estate accommodation in Singapore where you can stay. It is not obligatory for you to hire a real estate agent but if you want the renting procedure to be smooth and easy then it would be a great idea to make use of a real estate agent. The reason is that an agent has vast knowledge about Singapore rental and Singapore real estate. So when you take the help of an agent, you know that you are in good hands. The agent would lead you all the way so that you can get a Singapore rental quickly and without any hassle. Moreover, an agent would also prepare all the necessary documents that are required for the purpose of Singapore rental.
You have the option of renting a condo, apartment or a bungalow. If there is no restraint on the budget then you can rent a luxurious condo or a big house but if your budget is fixed then choose a reasonable accommodation. There is no need for you to rent a costly accommodation if your budget does not allow you to do that. You will need to show certain documents if you want to rent a property in Singapore. Some of the documents that would be required are:
- Xerox copy of your employment pass.
- Xerox copy of your passport.
- Rent of one month as good faith deposit.
After that the real estate agent would go ahead and make documents like tenancy agreement and letter of intent for you. The letter of intent is nothing but a letter which would indicate that you are interesting in renting a particular property. This letter would also contain the things which you require from the landlord. Tenancy agreement, on the other hand, is an agreement which would be made by the agent of the landlord. This agreement would state that you would be renting the property for the stated number of time. Make sure that you have agreed with all the rules that the landlord has stipulated, if you do not agree with any of the rules then do not sign the documents. You should sign the document only when you are satisfied with the agreements in the contract. You real estate agent can help you in the long run so make sure that you find a good agent.
