Of course, this will depend on the number of family members you have and the amount of money that you are willing to spend on buying the HDB flat.

After checking out the properties, you can ask your agent to take you for a view. Ask all the questions about the properties that a buyer should be asking. Do not hesitate to ask any thing for you may lose in the end if you do not ask any questions. I would recommend you to view those properties which are under your budget. What is the use of viewing properties that you like but can not afford? It would be beneficial if you hire a real estate agent for he or she can take care of your real estate dealings. Of course you would have to pay the agent a commission but it would be worth if as the agent would help you prepare all the documents that are required.
