Singapore Bungalow
Majority of the bungalows that you find in Singapore has been built or constructed prior to the Second World War. This applies particularly to big bungalows in Singapore. When we talk of bungalows, we refer to an independent house built for the purpose of residency and this house can be one to three storeys in height. Bungalows in Singapore are usually situated in calm and peaceful environment. If you are interested in buying a bungalow for you and your family then you have to keep in mind that the bungalows that are luxurious and spacious are usually the expensive ones. As you must know, space is limited in Singapore and you need to pay a high amount for more space.
Believe it or not but a private bungalow can cost you as high as three million dollars, may be more. There are certain factors which you should take in to consideration before actually carrying out the necessary steps to purchase a bungalow. As I have mentioned earlier, most bungalows are not located in the midst of the city. There are situated in a quiet and calm location far from the hustling and bustling of the city. So if you are more in to a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere then may be you should consider buying a bungalow. On the other hand, if you are used to the hustling and bustling of the city life then you may not like living in a calm location where the bungalow is situated.
Then again there is the price of the bungalow which has to be taken in to consideration. Is your budget small and limited? If that’s the case then may be you should think of buying some thing smaller and less expensive. However, if you do not have any restriction on the budget then you can think of buying a luxurious bungalow for your self and your family. The next factor that comes in to account and which you need to think about is the maintenance of the bungalow. A bungalow is usually big unlike an apartment or a condo. Do you have the time to maintain and clean the bungalow yourself? Or have you thought of employing a helper to help you with the maintenance of the bungalow. These are some of the factors which you need to take in to account.
Having read about the factors, we are now going to look at some of bungalows which are found in Singapore:
- Bungalow during the early period: This type of bungalow were built during the 1860s. They have an elegant yet simple style and design of early architecture of Britain.
- Victorian bungalow: The Victorian style bungalows were constructed during the 1870s and the 1890s. This type of bungalow has heavy attractive decoration on the front.
- Black and white: There are also the black and white bungalows which you will find in Singapore. These are so named because the walls of the bungalows are white and the wood exteriors are black.
